How to Red-Team Your Favourite Idea

Affection is a bias. Treat the prototype as a hostile witness.

BREAK is the stage founders skip because it feels like ingratitude. That is precisely why it is the stage that matters.

Ask: who is harmed if this works at scale? What incentive did we fail to model? Which user are we pretending is average? If this idea were a sentence spoken by an adversary, what would it be trying to do?

You do not need a black hoodie to do this. You need a mandate, a scope, and the courage to write down the answer before the world writes it for you.

You do not need a black hoodie to do this. You need a mandate, a scope, and courage. HACKERS red-team is authorised, timed, and bounded. We do not teach unauthorised access. We teach you to find the abuse path in a system you are allowed to improve.

The Atlas is a library of other people’s BREAK. Stuxnet as observability integrity — not a sabotage recipe. Target as a trust graph — not a breach recipe. Typoglycemia as form versus intent — not a filter bypass. Study the failure. Build the defence.

If your favourite idea cannot survive a scoped red-team, it was a costume. If it can, you have a product. PROVE it with evidence, ethics, and a route to implementation. That is the Fellowship’s last week. It is also how you know you are done.
